As usual, my parents are doing the turkey dinner thing on Sunday, because today my sister celebrates with her husband's family. So I spent the day on my own. Slept in a bit, cleaned the place, then watched some Lost (yes, I'm still at it... almost half-way through the final season, though; and I do want to finish it... while at the same time I don't, because then it'll be over, and I've gotten sort of addicted to it, LOL). Oh, and also did some texting.:D Yes, the usual suspect IS celebrating Thanksgiving with her family - but somehow that didn't prevent her from texting me on-and-off throughout the day... LOL. Who am I to complain about that?...:P

Anyway... I haven't done a silly meme in a while, so here's one snagged from meathiel:

1. What time did you get up this morning? Around nine, I think.
2. How do you like your steak? I don't eat steak. *shudder*
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? Floating Skyscrapers. A Polish gay love story. Very depressing...
4. What is your favourite TV show? Lost, obviously - since it's the only one I've watched in years...:D
5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? I was gonna say Greece - but it's probably not a fun place right now due to the economic crisis... so I don't know. Somewhere warm and sunny, with plenty of trees and water and a quaint historic town nearby...
6. What did you have for breakfast? The usual - a small bowl of instant grits & a cup of Earl Grey with lemon & honey...
7. What is your favourite cuisine? Moroccan, probably - the little that I know of it through attempting a few recipes, LOL. But really, I love anything Mediterranean, and a lot of Asian, too. I'm up to trying anything, really - unless it contains some creepy animal parts.:P
8. What foods do you dislike? Beef. Anything with mint in it. Dark, bitter chocolate. Anything burnt (even very slightly). Anything with artificial coloring that looks like plastic...
9. Favourite place to eat? Don't really have one right now. Haven't gone out to eat in a while...
10. Favourite dressing? Italian. Or anything with balsamic vinegar...



11.What kind of vehicle do you drive? None at the moment...
12. What are your favourite clothes? Anything that makes me look like I have a good figure...
13. Where would you visit if you had the chance? Spain, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Argentina...
14. Where would you want to retire? Somewhere quiet, warm, beautiful and affordable... LOL.
15. Favourite time of day? Evening.
16. Where were you born? In a tiny, ridiculously bigoted town in the south of Poland...
17. What is your favourite sport to watch? I don't watch sports.
18. What's your dream job? Translator of literature. Or, it USED to be my dream job. Now I just dream of not having to work at all...:P

20. Favourite pastime/hobby? Reading.
21. Who are you most curious about their responses to this? I don't know. People usually don't pick up these things from me anyway...

23. Are you a morning person or a night person? Neither these days. Or a "night person" who falls flat on her face by midnight... LOL.
24. Do you have any pets? Nope. Apparently, I have a hard time keeping plants alive, so this is probably for the best.;)

26. What did you want to be when you were little? I honestly don't recall ever actually WANTING to grow up, so no idea.
27. What is your best childhood memory? Sitting alone in the living room on a sunny afternoon, reading, enjoying the quiet. I didn't get to be alone very often, so those moments were always precious...
28. Are you a cat or dog person? Definitely cat. Though if I HAD to choose a pet, it'd probably be goldfish...;)

30. Always wear your seat belt? Yeah. Especially if I'm the one driving... LOL.

35. Favourite ice cream? I don't think I have a favorite... I like to try different flavors - when I do have ice cream, which isn't very often.

37. How many times did you fail your driver’s test? Strangely enough, I passed on the first try.:P
38. From whom did you get your last email? Hmmm... I get lots of junk email, and most of it gets deleted right away, so I'm not sure. Probably some Black Friday promotion thing...
39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? Heh. I wouldn't max out my credit card. I was brought up to avoid debt like the plague, and it's one of the few things my mother taught me that I actually agree with... LOL.
40. Do anything spontaneous lately? Not that I recall...
41. Like your job? Most of the time, yes. Except for when we have to do projects that require talking to strangers on the phone. That, I hate with a fiery passion. *mirthless smirk*
42. Broccoli? Yes. Not too often, though; and it must be well cooked, or my gut isn't happy...:[
43. What was your favourite vacation? My first trip to Greece in 1996.
44. Last person you went out to dinner with? A friend I see about 2-3 times a year...
45. What are you listening to right now? The whirring of my desk fan, because it gets stuffy in here when the heating's on full blast...

50. Coffee drinker? Occasionally. When I have slept less than 6 hours, that is.:P
