Verbosity, hmmm?... Now, if I could spend as much time posting as I want to and never can, you'd see verbosity.:D
As for the predominantly male characteristics of my text, I really don't know what to think about that.;) Must be the slash fic with all the male pronouns, I suppose.:P

In other news, my grim predictions about the car falling apart on me one day are slowly but surely coming true. I haven't been able to close the trunk for a few weeks now, and yesterday one side of my cracked bumper almost detached itself while I was driving to work. Almost, but not quite. It sort of flipped over and rather noisily dragged on the ground, to the amusement and/or alarm of my fellow commuters.:D As to how the bumper came to be so badly cracked in the first place, I'm not really sure - must be the result of my impressive paralell parking skills.:P Anyway, I am well aware that a new bumper would cost me about $300. At least that's what it cost the last time I had to have it replaced, about two years ago. It's probably even more now. HOWEVER, a roll of duct tape costs about $8. And so my lovely old piece of junk is currently sporting a few decorative silver stripes across the backside.:D Yes, I now officially drive a car that's being held together by duct tape. A sign of the times, you might say. *snicker*

BUT, thanks to President Obama's economic stimulus plan, my paycheck is now slightly higher (at least for the next few months), so there is hope at the end of the tunnel. I might actually manage to keep my spending lower than my income, even without ditching the high speed internet (which I'm not sure is really worth the effort, since it would probably save me less than $20 a month, all things considered). Hallelujah.:D

As for any pleasure/entertainment expenses, I'm still holding off on those - at least until my bank account balance starts showing any indication of actually increasing. At this point I still don't know how much entertainment I can really afford - except for Netflix, which is less than $10 a month. And an occasional music download, which is still much cheaper. Other things have to wait. Btw, I still haven't purchased the Appaloosa DVD. I looked for it at the local Blockbuster's a few weeks ago, but they didn't have it available for sale yet, and I didn't want to go anywhere else. I mean, when one doesn't have any money to spend, one doesn't just walk into Borders.;) That would be like dangling a sausage on a string in front of a starving dog, just out of reach.:P And when you order online, you have to pay extra for shipping, and then waste a lot of time picking it up at the post office (I hate the local post office and try to avoid going there as much as I can). So I decided to wait until my birthday, and then buy it as a present for myself if no one else does. I win at personal discipline and noble restraint, do I not? :P

Of course, if Good was playing in the theaters here, I would go see it - several times, probably - but it wasn't, so that problem solved itself, as it were.:( All the more reason to be happy that I'd had the opportunity to go to the premiere - since it was the only time I'll ever get to see it on the big screen. *sigh* Not that I ever saw Alatriste on the big screen - which is so much of a shame I don't even want to talk about it.:/

Anyway... will shut up now. Don't want to aggravate that verbosity issue.;P

Sorry to hear about your car troubles -- it must be going around because I just had trouble with mine. Hope it works out ok for you.

Oh, the bumper issue is nothing, really - it was kind of amusing.;) There is some other stuff inside the car that might need to be fixed more urgently, if I am to believe the guys at Firestone.:) Will have to ask my dad if it's something really important, or if they just told me to fix it because they want my money.:D
