Apparently, my deep and thoughtful posts aren't any more interesting than the shallow, mundane ones.:| Oh well. I'm used to talking to myself, so yeah. *shrug*

In absence of any momentous news, here's the next installment of the A-Z meme.

Do you like to have the latest gadgets as soon as they come out?

Me?... *blinks* I only got a cellphone because I was about to move into an apartment with no landline. That was well over four years ago - and I still have the same cellphone. Very basic model. No iWhatsitsname whatsoever. And I can't quite fathom why I would need one. I have a computer at home, AND at work. Do I need another mini-computer for when I'm on the bus on my way to/from work?... Nope. eReader?... Hmmm... maybe someday. Long after it stops being fashionable, probably. *smirk*

If you had to give up the internet or your mobile phone for a week, which one would you choose?

Bah. The phone, obviously. I hardly ever use it, anyway. The only person who calls me on a regular basis is my mother - and knowing that she can't reach me for an entire week would be more of a relief than a disappointment, lol. In fact, I am sometimes very tempted to just keep the thing turned off - and, say, check for voicemails about once a week. *shrug*

What piece of modern technology do you have absolutely no need for and no intention of buying?

Most of them, probably. Starting with a TV... LOL. Though that probably no longer qualifies as modern.:P The only piece of technology I need or care about is a computer that connects to the internet and plays online video content, as well as DVD's (and they don't have to be HD, Blu-Ray or anything fancy like that - plain old DVD's will do, thank you very much). The rest of it is just confusing and/or intimidating to me at the moment. I must be getting old or something... *headshake*

We're a lot alike in this aspect. My reason for having a phone is that most people (sadly) failed mental telepathy at Hogwarts; thus, I am forced to rely on a phone at times. *sighs* And like you, mine is very basic -- why get all that stuff when there are computers instead? (Another something most people do not understand about me -- I rely on computers but they'll use a phone before using a computer.)

I'm just really really behind in catching up w/posts lately, sorry. :(

Yep. Same story here. I'll always use a computer first; the phone is a last resort. I'm just not a phone person. I mean, I don't mind chatting with a friend, but I'd rather do it face to face - and if that's not possible, I'd rather just email them. And, apparently, some people take that to mean I'm not interested in keeping in touch with them.:/ Yeah, me and my profound social skillz... *sigh*

Hey, no need to be sorry. I realize people have other stuff to do with their time than keeping up with my posts.;) I was just a bit miffed that not even one of my usual "commenters" felt moved to say something after I sort of poured out my soul out there. But I guess every blogger feels that way sometimes... We're all a little narcissistic - or we wouldn't be keeping internet journals, now would we?...;D
